Facility Use Policy

Guests

•BYU activity facilities and resources are specifically designated for the use of students and employees, however, an occasional guest may be invited by a sponsor (a current BYU student or eligible BYU employee) who has Facility Use Privileges.

• Generally speaking, an "Occasional Guest" is a visitor(s) from out of town with whom the sponsor would like to spend some time here at BYU. This policy is not intended to provide regular facility access to local friends and associates who are not members of the BYU community.  The university is striving to focus its limited resources on students and employees.

• The guest must be familiar with and agree to keep the standards of the university including dress and grooming expectations prior to use of the facilities. It is the responsibility of the sponsor to provide this information.

• A beard exception for an occasional guest may be possible, however, the guest should be encouraged to observe the standards.

• To acquire a guest wristband, the sponsor must present their guest and BYU ID card or net ID at 112 RB and pay $5.

The Guest is now required to sign a formal Assumption of Risk and Release Agreement.  He/she must be able to show a valid form of picture ID at the time of signature.  This Agreement must be signed each semester or term.

• No one under the age of 5 is allowed in the pools.

• No one under the age of 16 is allowed in the weight rooms.
